Banana Bread BEER Dip
I warned you on Instagram that this was happening. My friend at work brought be a bottle of Wells Banana Bread Beer and I knew I could have some fun with it in the kitchen.
This is my first creation.
Banana Bread Beer Dip. This is definitely more of a sweet dip than a savory dip. Actually, it tastes almost exactly like teddy graham crackers and then right at the end you taste just a little banana beer. I realllly liked the addition of mini-semi sweet chocolate chips but some of my co-workers said plain was the best.
As for dipping materials. I went with min pretzels for the little addition of salt. But vanilla wafers were delightful as well.

Now for the recipe....
Banana Bread BEER Dip
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup Wells Banana Bread Beer
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
In the bowl of a mixer, combine cream cheese, beer, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar one cup at a time, scraping down the bowl a few times. Continue to mix until completely smooth and creamy.
Pour into bowl with a lid and refrigerate until chilled; 30-45 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top or stir them right into the dip, your choice. Serve with pretzels and/or vanilla wafers.
