Super Easy Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
My dad bought me an ice cream maker last year at an estate sale. I had yet to use it. I know, crazy. And, because Jakers is my love, I made his favorite flavor first; Cookies and Cream!
This was the easiest ice cream to make; no eggs, no cooking, just a little churning and you're done. It's super versatile and you could really mix anything into the vanilla base.
Jake was verrrry pleased with this little treat!
Next time, it's my turn. I'm thinking chocolate or mint chocolate.
Super Easy Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1 1/8 cups granulated sugar
3 cups heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
16 - 20 Oreos, crushed
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the milk and sugar until the sugar is dissolved, 1-2 minutes. Then, stir in the heavy cream and vanilla.
Prepare your ice cream maker; pour the mixture into bowl, and let mix until thickened, about 25-35 minutes. The ice cream will still be soft but creamy. Stir in the crushed Oreos.
Place ice cream in a freezer save container and place in the freezer to fully firm up, couple hours.
Serve with a drizzle of hot fudge and Oreos.
