A Day in the Life of Jacob

This post is sponsored by my friends at Folgers.

I mention Jacob in my posts often but I've never given him a whole post. Until now. I thought it would be fun to share "a day in the life of Jacob."

Our schedules are really different; I work a pretty traditional 8-5, Monday - Friday while each day is different for Jacob. It kinda floors me how it does it. Jacob is a Chiropractor, and a pretty darn good one at that. I might be a little biased, but I've visited multiple doctors and he's the only one that could truly adjust my neck and keep me from getting headaches. It's magical.

His hours vary everyday so let's look at an average Thursday. He works 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm so the lucky duck gets to sleep in.

9:00 am: Wake up, watch a little TV in bed.

9:30 am: Brew a little coffee and grab breakfast. Jacob isn't much of a breakfast guy so he'll usually eat leftovers from the night before. For coffee, he turns to Folgers Perfect Measures 100% Colombian. We've been drinking Perfect Measures for a little over a year and still loving the convenience and ease of use. Plus - Kansas City is one of the only markets selling Perfect Measures so we're pretty lucky. He usually brews 8 cups but uses 10 tabs.

10:00 - 11:30 am: Jacob has detailed reporting he has to do for each of his patients. Because his days are so busy he catches up on his notes on his down time. I think sipping coffee helps him power through all that reporting.

11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Eat lunch, hang out with Henry and get ready for work. (I had to sneak in a picture of Henry.)

2:00 - 7:00 pm: His work day consists of patient visits in 5-10 minute intervals. It's pretty non-stop most days. He works in a larger practice so he does have an awesome front office team and other doctors working along side him. Because he's been working for almost 6 years he has a lot of regular patients and referrals.

7:00 pm: Jacob always calls me when he leaves work. Depending on when he sees his last patient his end time can vary. His call helps me know when to start dinner so we can eat together.

7:30 pm: Isn't he cute after a long day at work? We have dinner together every night. I will admit, there are days I eat early but for the most part I try to hold out. His patient care is super confidential so our evening conversations might be a general success story or about my work day.

8:00 - 10:30 pm: The rest of the evening is spent relaxing with Henry and watching a little TV.

10:30 pm: Off to bed we go!

I'm so proud of the work Jacob does. He does have long days and it's pretty intense work but it's awesome to see how he is helping people deal with long-term problems. It's pretty incredible.

Thanks again to Folgers for sponsoring this post. If you're in a market where they offer Perfect Measures you should totally try it. It takes the guess work out of making coffee and helps brew a consistent cup, every time. They have a Coffee Tab Calculator you can use too.
