When I'm not sure what to bake I always turn to my grandma's recipe book. I'm so thankful I have them and can continue to share her love for great recipes.
This recipe for S'More Brownie Bars popped out right away. With the start of Summer right around the corner s'mores are on my mind. That classic camp fire treat is always a winner. And these S'More Brownie Bars take that traditional treat to a whole new level.
I love the fudgy bronies and gooey marshmallow chocolate topping. So good! Give these a try for your next Summer party.
S'More Brownie Bars
8-10 whole graham crackers
1 package family size brownie mix (for 9 x 13 pan) AND ingredients called for
2 cups mini-marshmallows
1 cup chocolate chips
2/3 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Set aside.
Prepare brownie batter according to directions on the box. Pour batter over graham crackers. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until brownies are set.
Remove pan from oven. Sprinkle with marshmallows, chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Bake for another 5 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed and slightly brown.
Allow bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
