Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheese Ball

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheese Ball - Could shape like a football for your Super Bowl party!
Monday Monday, here we go again! We had a pretty good weekend. Henry turned 2 yesterday so we gave him a new toy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. He's a little spoiled. The weather was perfect (except a little wind) so Henry was out running around and playing with the neighbor dogs a lot. It's so funny to see them chase each other. They even share toys....or Henry steals them....who knows.

Then there's this cheese ball. Chocolate, peanut butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar...it's destine to be amazing. And it is. You always think cheese balls are appetizers but I'm totally a fan of dessert cheese balls. It's something different and a nice surprise for your guests.

Next time I make this I think I'll decorate the outside with a bunch of mini M&M's. You could also shape it into a football and make the football lines with white chips for your upcoming Super Bowl party!

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Serve with animal crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzel chips.

Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl for 30 second intervals, stiring between each intervals, until smooth. Set aside and let cool for 15 minutes.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, blend together the cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Add in cooled chocolate and mix to fully combine.

Line a bowl with plastic wrap and pour in chocolate goodness. Cover with plastic wrap and form into a ball. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.

When ready to serve, set cheese ball on a platter. The cheese call will be pretty firm. Provide small serving knifes to make it easier for guests. Serve with animal crackers, vanilla wafer, and pretzel chips.
