My sister, Ginny, and I are taking on Cocktail Hour this week! Make sure to visit her blog for outfit inspiration for your Cocktail Party!
As you all know, I'm more of a beer gal. Always have been, and probably always will be. Sometimes I wish I was fancy and knew how to pair a wine with a steak, but that probably won't happen.
Instead, I'm sharing a way for you to change up Cocktail Hour for your next party! Have a Mix Your Own Beer Bar instead! Plus, this will make the guys and gals happy.
Mix Your Own Beer Bar: What You Need
Variety of Beers:
- Must liquor stores offer a Mix 6 allowing you to choose 6 different beers for 1 price. Not only is this perfect for getting a wide range of beers, but a great way to try local and seasonal beers. Our liquor stores have some really interesting pumpkin ales and apple cinder beers.
- You can also buy crowd pleasing beers like Budweiser, Miller, Coors, etc.
Variety of Mix-In's:
- Orange Juice
- Apple Juice
- Sprite
- Cranberry Sierra Mist
- Tomato Juice
- Lemonade
- Fresh Fruit: strawberries, lemon slices, and orange slices.
Non-Alcoholic Options:
- Always make sure to offer a non-alcoholic option! Whether it's pop, non-alcoholic beer, juice, or another mock-tail, you want all of your guests to have something fun!

Snacks!
Snacks!
- Um, it's not really a party without snacks! You could serve: chips and dip, pretzels, these 3 appetizers, or maybe these no bake snack crackers with a kick.
Encourage your party-goers to try different mixes and share what they like the best!
Now for your outfit, let's see what Ginny thinks you should wear.....
