My seeester and I thought it would be fun to swap blogs for the day! Sometime fashion peeps need sweets and sometimes foodies need fashion.
Hi all! I'm Ginny from My New Favorite Outfit and I'm so happy to be blog swapping with my oh so wonderful sister today!
1. Why did you decide to start blogging?
I started my fun blog back in the fall of 2012 primarily because I was bored with my closet and style. I was in a rut. Each day consisted of me staring at my closet for like 20 minutes, then pulling out my "teacher" uniform, which consisted of black pants, a top and cardigan. Everyday. I was so over it and really wanted to feel good about my style again. Blogging has definitely caused me to look at my wardrobe differently. This top doesn't HAVE to only go with those pants. (Epiphany!)
2. What are a few of your daily reads?
First off I read Whatcha Makin' Now daily, of course. I constantly drool over the pictures and love when I get a chance to sample them.....the food, not the pictures. :) I also read Mix and Match Fashion, This Ever Evolving Life, Along the Lines of Style, and a bunch more that would take too much time to list :)
3. What trends are you loving right now and what trends are you steering clear of?
Right now I'm so loving prints of every kind and bright colors galore. I seriously can't get enough! As for trends I'm steering clear of, overalls and high heeled sneakers. I have seen some awesome high-fashion looks with these trends, but I just can't see myself pulling either of these off.
4. What's the best things that has come out of blogging for you?
Blogging has really caused me to look at my clothes differently and increased my self-confidence too. I've "met" some great ladies and I really enjoy this "me time" hobby. :)
5. What a piece of advise you have for your fellow blogger or those thinking about starting a blog?
To those that have a blog, my advise is to make it your own, fun, and don't take it (or yourself) too seriously. To those thinking of starting a blog, just do it, it's such fun!!!
