Lately.

Even my mom asked why my blog was kinda quiet lately so I thought it was time for a little life update. I'm definitely not going anywhere and still baking, but it's been a busy last couple months.

Jake and I took a trip to Nashville for my 32nd birthday. The hotel, live music, and these moonshine soaked raisin deviled eggs knocked our socks off!

My sweet friend Jen gave me the most perfect and colorful birthday present. She kinda knows me.

West Elm opened in Kansas City and I did go on opening day. I also fell in love with this table setting and am slowly trying to own it all. So far I have the crisp white dinner plates, salad plates and those awesome gray bowls.

I put together and presented an Agent Marketing and Social Media training for my company and our real estate agents. I didn't get booed off the stage and didn't pass out so I'd say it was a success.

Ikea also opened in Kansas City (seriously, now we have everything) and I walked out with a new napkin holder and fresh baked cinnamon rolls, naturally.

I upgraded from my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 6 and I'm in LOVE. I'm loving the talk to text feature...except I accidentally texted my boss instead of my husband. Thankfully she saw the humor and it was a g-rated text. ;)

I attended my first KC Blogger Meet Up and this one was a workshop with One Sparrow Creative sharing photography tips, Creative Reasoning sharing branding advice and Happy Habitat spoke about making a passion a business. It was a super fun afternoon and very inspiring. This Pomme Tarte Crepe (warm apple crisp topped with crème Anglaise and caramel sauce) wasn't 1/2 bad either.

I pulled the trigger and I'm hosting our families for Thanksgiving this year! I'm so excited to entertain and show everyone around this amazing city. They already have their hotels booked so no turning back now. The hotel has a pool and hot tub so I see a pool party in the plans. Any tips for hosting almost 20 people for 2-3 days? Also, I used Punch Bowl to send out all of the details. They even have a potluck list so people can sign up to bring items. It's a ton of fun.
That's about it! Another recipe coming at ya later this week!
